Sorting feelings instead of pushing them away

How to name what you feel, even when inside there is only pressure or emptiness at first.

Many feelings do not show up first as a clear word, but as a bodily state: tightness, tiredness, irritability, withdrawal. Instead of asking What is wrong with me? right away, ask What could this be? Anxiety, shame, sadness, and overwhelm often feel similar. Even a rough name usually makes feelings a little less powerful.
