Scope

These terms of use apply to the use of norenly, especially to the feed, explore, profiles, posts, replies, comments, spaces, direct messages, notifications, podcasts, saved content, help areas, verification features, and the related web, mobile, and API functions.

Provider and contractual framework

norenly is provided by Dominik Hintringer as a currently free service in LIVE (BETA) status. By using it, you accept these terms of use in their current version.

Minimum age and personal responsibility

The use of norenly is intended only for persons aged 16 and above. By using norenly, you confirm that you meet this minimum age and publish content on your own responsibility.

Account and access

Certain functions require an account. Registrations may temporarily be invite-only. You are required to protect your login data, recovery codes, invites, and devices appropriately. You may not use, take over, or bypass the security mechanisms of other accounts.

Profiles, avatars, and verification

Profile details, profile pictures, and verification requests must be accurate and compliant with the platform. Uploaded profile pictures may be checked automatically and manually for safety and content risks. Verifications are currently granted only by norenly or admins and may be removed in cases of inaccurate information, abuse, or rule violations.

Anonymous posts and responsibility

norenly allows anonymous or profile-linked posts. Even when posting anonymously, you remain fully responsible for your content. Anonymity on the platform does not mean unlawful, insulting, or abusive content is allowed.

Conduct on the platform

• No insulting, discriminatory, sexualized, or intimidating content.
• No targeted shaming, manipulation, threats, or repeated boundary violations.
• No circumvention of moderation decisions or abusive multiple accounts.
• No use of the platform for spam, unauthorized advertising, scraping, or automated disruption.
• No unlawful content and no infringement of personal rights, copyrights, or other third-party rights.

Posts, replies, spaces, and podcasts

You may only publish or send content for which you have the necessary rights. Spaces serve thematic organization and may not be used for deception, targeted humiliation of others, or bypassing rules. Podcast areas may contain metadata, cover art, episodes, and audio from external RSS sources. There is likewise no entitlement there to publication, visibility, completeness, or permanent availability of individual content.

Private messages

Chats are a protected area, but not a lawless one. norenly may intervene in the event of reports, security incidents, or abuse, hold back requests, archive chats, block content, or restrict accounts.

Moderation and measures

In the event of violations or specific security risks, norenly may hide, flag, automatically review, manually review, block, or remove content. Functions may likewise be restricted, spaces closed, messages blocked, profile pictures rejected, podcast content hidden, or accounts temporarily or permanently suspended if this is necessary to protect other users, enforce the law, or maintain platform security.

Rights to content

You retain the rights to your content. By posting content, however, you grant norenly the simple, non-exclusive right to store, technically process, reproduce, display it within the platform, review it for moderation and security, and use it as required for operations, backups, and troubleshooting.

Beta status, availability, and no emergency service

norenly is provided free of charge and in BETA status. There is no entitlement to specific availability, features, reach, or permanent storage of content. Features may be expanded, restricted, or temporarily available only in maintenance mode. norenly is not an emergency, therapy, crisis intervention, or medical service. In acute danger, please contact the responsible emergency numbers immediately.

Ending use

You may stop using the service at any time. norenly may restrict, suspend, or remove accounts and content in accordance with these terms if rules are violated, security risks exist, or the operation of the platform requires it.

Changes to the terms

norenly may adjust these terms when functions, legal requirements, or security mechanisms change. Material changes will be indicated in the app.

Applicable law

Austrian law applies to the exclusion of its conflict-of-law rules, provided that no mandatory consumer protection rules oppose this. Mandatory rights of consumers under the law of their habitual residence remain unaffected.
